I have been composing music as an amateur since 1988. I started playing around with the
Commodore Amiga computer, then with a PC, then I bought a guitar but spent years not really making any efforts to learn how to play more than a few chords. It's only in 2005 that I decided to compose more seriously, especially learning how to record myself correctly. Only then could I offer my listeners something more than draft versions of my songs, sounding like they were recorded in the depths of a cave.
I wrote and recorded many songs, usually
Pop-Rock songs with singing, guitar, bass and drums. I always write, record and mix everything myself. I never have anyone intervene, probably because I am proud telling that "I did it". And be the only one to take in the reviews, whether they're good or bad. I seek pleasure before anything else, and if this feeling is shared by those who listen to my work, then it's great, if not... too bad for me.
I also write music for amateur
theater plays. unlike my usual Rock pieces, I mainly use classical instruments (strings, brass, woods...) and I try to make musics with melodies directly connected to the action on stage. Like a film score, a theater music must support the story and generate the appropriate emotion.
